Hi,

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

We reciently converted a physical machine to a virtual machine.

In our vmware environment the machine boots up ok,  its a sharepoint reporting server,  IIS doesnt seem to be to happy and sharepoint wont even start.

do we need to restore a sharepoint backup to resolve? are they any recommendations?

thanks in advance...

If the sites in IIS won't start than a SharePoint level restore likely won't help.

Will IIS not start or will the individual SharePoint sites not start?  Is the World Wide Web Publishing service started?
