ZFS Nexentastore community for ESX: upgrade?

Hi,

I have this ZFS Nexentastore community edition running on an HP NL 40 microserver which is working fine.
However, the system is up and running for some months now and I’d like to know the following:

*How can I upgrade (currently version 3.1.3.5)?  setup appliance upgrade via putty?
*Are there any risks in upgrading (have no data on it that I can’t recover but still, never been there ...)

J.

Did the setup "appliance upgrade", then it took my through the install (no furhter actions asked, it started right away -asked for confirmations), rebooted.
Though now version seems the same

Upgrade interrupted.
Yes I did, after reboot I didn't saw version change, also not via ssh.
Therefore I tried to do the upgrade again but then it shows "upgrade interrupted".
Problem now is that I don't know if I can use the ZFS again or if there 's somewhere some process going on. Upgrade showed succesfull but version did not change ...
Rebooted the ZFS, since then no reaction at all. Ping is there but putty refuses connection.
I know discover my backup of vm's on ZFS is corrupt. All other data is no problem. Duh ....
Well then, I might have to reinstall.

Is there a way to keep my disks ... f.e. boot from an USB stick with esxi (still have it), then use the procedure to use nexenta on a vm ...?
Recovered my zfs
