We have an old droid 2 global phone with bad USB connector. We aren't using it for cell phone use.... thinking of just using it in the house to play pandora or similar. But it needs power. anyone have info on what voltages the 4 battery contacts need and we can solder /attach jumpers to the battery contacts and hook that up to a USB power supply? or some other way to keep the unit powered in house?
You can simply get an extra BP6X battery and an external charger (like this http://www.amazon.com/Battery-Charger-Motorola-Droid-Verizon/dp/B005Y5D1V6) and charge the battery outside the phone. Then just swap batteries as one gets low.
That's probably the fastest, safest way to go.
