VPN from Mac to Windows SBS cant see folders

Hi, I have a MacBook pro with maverics installed and want to connect via vpn to Windows SBS 2008 server. The VPN connects ok but I can't see any of the shares. I have tested with a Windows 7 PC and can see the shares fine over the VPN. I have tried finder, go to server and entered smb:// internal ip of server but nothing !

Help please !

Can you confirm you have latest updates / patches installed?  Are you wired / wireless?  Can you ping the IP / hostname from the mac?  Vice Versa from the 2008 machine?

Are you using the builtin Mac VPN client or Tunnelblick?

Hi, thanks for your input. It was the new draytek router, its configured to use port 443 for ssl.
