Hi,
Silly question probably but I am comparing MS Terminal Server to another providers offering namely www.thinstuff.com.
My client has asked me a question and it is a long time since I have used MS Terminal Server, basically if one user has for example an Excel file open then another user in another session tries to open the same file you will get a 'file locked by another user' warning when using thinstuff, is this the same in MS Terminal Server?
Many thanks
Andrew

Yes, but that is a limitation on the way Excel works not the environment.

As a side note, if you are tracking information or have multiple people who need to interact with the same information, you would be better served by making a small access database.  Then people can add and pull information all together.

Excel is meant to be used to digest and manipulate data to make sense of information, not store it, though it is often used as such.

Oh yeah, you can perhaps share a workbook but there are limitations, depending on how you guys are interacting with it, it might be a fine for you guys
