Average function in Access

Is there an "average" function in access, similar to excel? Something like this:

AverageFirstDay: Abs(Ave([SumOfSumOfExtendedPrice]))

It isn't working... maybe I'm  doing something wrong?

use Avg  not Ave


you can select it from the choices when you create a Totals query
