Searching for a doc in a Sharepoint

Is there a freeware tool or method to hunt for a doc,
say a doc with filename containing the word 'capacity'
in a very large Sharepoint that has thousnds of files in it?

Hello There,

One tried and tested method is that if you can connect your SharePoint list or library to the Outlook Application you can search for documents within the library,

Correction to the last post:
That url/site did not quite tell us how to connect Outlook
(must it be 2010 version) to Sharepoint list/library, can
elaborate on this?

Also, possible to sync down the Sharepoint docs to
local laptop's .pst (in local HDD) ?

Can briefly share where I can locate this built-in Sharepoint
search functionality (step by step pls) as I'm newbie?

Can it search for text within Word, Excel just like what
Windows Explorer could do?

Here is the information.  Yes it indexes Office Doc contents.
