My new Server2012R2 Domain controllers and additional secondary servers are not picking up the printers for which a reservation has been assigned in DHCP. &nbsp;DHCP is running on the PDC/DC with fail-over partner configured.<br />

The zones on all DC with DNS show they are integrated with Active Directory.<br />
<br />
Dynamic updates are set to secure only on the DC/DNS servers.<br />
Do I need to change that to secure and nonsecure? &nbsp;If yes, what is the impact in terms of security. &nbsp;We are a small shop but have good size facility with about 150 devices connected.<br />

I know that the printers are not active directory aware, but thought once the reservation was in DHCP on a PDC the gave it control over the ip.<br />
Any ideas are much appreciated.<br />

DNS not updating printers

Windows Server 2012 is the server version of Windows 8 and the successor to Windows Server 2008 R2. Windows Server 2012 is the first version of Windows Server to have no support for Itanium-based computers since Windows NT 4.0. Windows Server 2012, now in its second release (Windows Server 2012 Release 2) includes Foundation, Essentials, Standard and Datacenter, and does not support IA-32 or IA-64 processors.
