DNS not updating printers
My new Server2012R2 Domain controllers and additional secondary servers are not picking up the printers for which a reservation has been assigned in DHCP. DHCP is running on the PDC/DC with fail-over partner configured.
The zones on all DC with DNS show they are integrated with Active Directory.
Dynamic updates are set to secure only on the DC/DNS servers.
Do I need to change that to secure and nonsecure? If yes, what is the impact in terms of security. We are a small shop but have good size facility with about 150 devices connected.
I know that the printers are not active directory aware, but thought once the reservation was in DHCP on a PDC the gave it control over the ip.
Any ideas are much appreciated.
Thanks
