I am helping a friend with a very strange windows 7 problem.
She is having problems accessing her Comcast emails so my first thought was a problem with IE11.  That is when my journey began.

Windows update lists more than 20 failed attempts to install IE11.

The "uninstall a program" panel with "view installed updates" selected indicates the latest IE installed as IE10.

Bringing up IE and clicking on Help, About lists the current version as IE11.

Trying to select IE10 to uninstall fails also.

Try:

Uninstall IE 11 (better with an uninstaller program such as Revo Uninstaller) and then download it from:

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/ie-11-worldwide-languages >

and install.

The person that I am helping is on a cruise and will not be back for another couple of weeks.

One questions about Revo Installer.
Have you used it to uninstall a Microsoft program such as IE?
