Surface Pro system aggregator firmware issue

I bit the bullet and bought an original Surface Pro tablet when they came out.  I like it but since upgrading to Windows 8.1 things have gotten a little weird (no surprise I guess).

My last issue to resolve is stumping me.  There was a major firmware release a little while back (December, I think) and I did the update after upgrading to Windows 8.1 (some posts suggest the firmware update should have been applied before updating to Windows 8.1).

In any case, now I have an exclamation mark beside the Surface Pro System Aggregator Firmware object in the device manager.  I combed the Internet and can't find much help on how to remove this error.

Anyone have any idea?  Thanks in advance.

Did you try to have device manager search for updates online?

ASKER

Searched for updated drivers several times and Device Manager says that I have the most current software installed.

Had to contact MS to get issue resolved.  Solution is to uninstall the Surface Pro System Aggregator Firmware (leaving the check-box to delete to driver unchecked).  Do a restart by Ctrl + Alt + Del means and choose restart.  Other methods will not work.
