Had to contact MS to get issue resolved. &nbsp;Solution is to uninstall the Surface Pro System Aggregator Firmware (leaving the check-box to delete to driver unchecked). &nbsp;Do a restart by Ctrl + Alt + Del means and choose restart. &nbsp;Other methods will not work.

I bit the bullet and bought an original Surface Pro tablet when they came out. &nbsp;I like it but since upgrading to Windows 8.1 things have gotten a little weird (no surprise I guess).<br />

My last issue to resolve is stumping me. &nbsp;There was a major firmware release a little while back (December, I think) and I did the update after upgrading to Windows 8.1 (some posts suggest the firmware update should have been applied before updating to Windows 8.1).<br />

In any case, now I have an exclamation mark beside the Surface Pro System Aggregator Firmware object in the device manager. &nbsp;I combed the Internet and can't find much help on how to remove this error.<br />

Anyone have any idea? &nbsp;Thanks in advance.<br />

Surface Pro system aggregator firmware issue

Windows 8 is a personal computer operating system developed by Microsoft as part of the Windows NT family of operating systems, with an emphasis on improving its user experience on tablets.
