Adding a VM from Network location
so my test setup is
>>> hyper v 2012 r2 is called "hyperv" which is on a workgroup
>>>>> the dc is called "dc-core" on a test.private domain
1. bare metal Hyper V R2
2. I then have a VM which is a Windows 2012 Standard Server (evaluation) Core as a DC with a data fileshare which contains some ISOs i.e: ubuntu, this that bla bla
3. I access the above using RSAT from Win 8.
4. When i try to add a new VM and for image file, specify location i get the attached error message.
I have already tried adding the hyper as a domain member . no difference.
and also followed >>> http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsserver/en-US/123c6a43-f584-4e6b-a714-0f7b244b817f/error-trying-to-mount-the-dvd-to-a-network-based-iso-image-in-windows-2008-hyperv-rc0?forum=winserverhyperv
which has not made any difference. any idea
