joomla "plugin"?

It will be for a website dedicated to helping families with disabled children.

Proceeds would go to maintaining the website, better hosting options over time, as well as helping needy families.

This is for my wife.  I am just **attempting** to do some of the web development for her.

I believe...joomla 2.5.14  ?

What other plugins are there?

If you don't want to use paypal, here are some:

Authorizenet -- for accepting all major credit cards.  Authorizenet has been around for decades, and is popular with small merchants.

http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/e-commerce/payment-systems/13127   Will work on Joomla 2.x  (Not yet for Joomla 3.x)  I haven't used this one.  But I have used their other extension "Nice Paypal button".  
You sign up with your bank or a 3rd party merchant account company to get Authorizenet.  Keep in mind you have to meet Authorizenet's merchant requirements.  So make sure you speak to an authorizenet reseller before you get too far into the project.

Some feedback from the person I am doing this for:

1) It's it a total program ie Can I issue receipts right back without having to create a receipt separate and email it to them.  I would prefer one program that can do both and will track the donations coming in for tax purposes.

2) I am fine with total funds raised, thermometers showing how close etc on the front page but I do NOT want anyone's names to appear on the out viewing side of the site.

Jomdonations will issue automatic email receipts.   Easy to do.

Also the names of the donors are kept private.

The thermometers do not show donor names.  

Also they have excellent support via their forums etc.
