Need to deploy an unattended installer to VPN connected clients.

Good afternoon,

Is there a recommended tool that could deploy an unattended installer to our domain's clients? We have a few clients who are typically connected using a VPN connection, so any tool that could work over a VPN would be great.

Thanks

if you are using the built-in VPN client of Windows in a managed AD domain, you may automatically deploy VPN settings via Group Policy. see below the details.

Hi bbao,

Thanks for the response. We are not using the Windows VPN client, instead we are using an application called LogMeIn Hamachi.

Thanks

if LogMeIn Hamachi can be installed with a MSI file and its configuration can be distributed by a file, it is still technically possible to deploy it via Group Policy if you do have an AD domain in place.

Thank you for the response bbao. The article is helpful, however the installer that the vendor says is a "Silent Installer" is actually a .exe file and not a .msi file. Will a .exe file still work with the Group Policy remote install? Sorry for my ignorance.

Thanks

Hi bbao,

Unfortunately the Group Policy solution will not work for this installer. Does anybody else have any suggestions? We need a product that can distribute this silent installer to VPN connected clients.

Thanks
