Excel Issue

Excel cannot paste the values, prior to issuing this error, Excel states the the clipboard data has exceeded its limit.  I verified that the clipboard was cleared, however, the issue persists.  This is Excel 2010 running on Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit.

i'm sure, though simple as it sounds..you restarted the computer?  That clears out some parts of the clipboard & clipboard issues.

here is a command that forces it to be done (clipboard empty)

cmd /c “echo off | clip”



Also, in some posts I've read, its a problem with other office products open in the background still holding onto stuff with the clipboard.  ex: outlook.  


Just some shots in the dark!!

WOW, never been mistered...thanks buddy!!  

right click the desktop, select NEW, then Shortcut
paste this in the location:

C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /c "echo off | clip"
click next

Name it..Clear Clipboard...or something like that

hit finish

if you dbl click and run it, it should pop something up, then immediately disappear.  YOu can tell it worked by selecting some text, then copying...then go paste.  If it pastes, then its in the clipboard, then run this, then try to paste again...it won't...so you are 100% cleared.

IF this doesn't solve the excel problem, let me know.  Excel has some finicky issues sometimes.

Also...how big amount of data is being copied?  (1 line of txt to 1 cell....how much approx.?)

Mr.slimpckins28, I tried the recommended step below:

C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /c "echo off | clip"
click next

Name it..Clear Clipboard...or something like that

The issue still persists unfortunately.  Do you have any other recommendations/suggestions?
