AOL 9.7 Suddenly Closes when replying to only some emails

I have a client that uses AOL desktop 9.7 on a Windows 7 64 Dell computer.  The computer was new 1 month ago and has been fine until suddenly AOL will just close down when you click on reply to some emails.  I contacted AOL support today and they say that this is a known problem and they are working on it???????

At the same time the Vista computer in the other room has no problem replying to the same email.

I have performed the following:
1. Full virus and malware scans
2. Full cleaning with CCleaner
3. Reset AOL
4. Uninstalled and reinstalled AOL 9.7

Does anyone have any suggestions other than "get rid of AOL"?

Your issue was caused by an updated MSHTML.DLL file which was installed as part of Windows Updates.  (If AOL doesn't know yet, tell them!)  The problem, BTW, is affecting a lot of users and its not confined to using AOL Desktop.

Thank you very much.  I just finished a long remote session with AOL support and they uninstalled the Last update to IE11 and that fixed the problem for now.  I don't know why the support people on the phone did not know this yesterday and the people on the Chat service knew it?

Thank you for getting back to me.

Thank you.  I looked all over the internet and no one seemed to know this?
