I have an EMC CX4-120 and I'm trying to create a boot lun to present to a host. When I go to create the LUN I do not see the option to make it a boot lun or to assign a LUN 0. How do I create a boot lun on an EMC CX4?

First Create the LUN, then assign it to the host in the storage group. Depending on what FLARE code your array is running, you should be able to select the Host ID, but the easiest way to do this is that the LUNs are assigned host IDs in the order that you add them, so the first LUN will take host ID 0, the next host ID 1 and so on. If you already have LUNs in the storage group, you may have too use Engineering Mode to alter the LUN IDs but you'll upset the host when you do it, so proceed with care.

Next steps are at the host - you have to enable boot BIOS on the FC HBA and identify the boot LUN in the card's BIOS.
