I have a problem and hope somebody can help, I'm getting really frustrated.

I have a Samsung series 5 Ultra laptop that came with windows 8.After updating it to 8.1 i cant connect to vpn.It keeps giving error 720.

This is a list of everything i tried:

*Uninstalled and reinstalled miniport drivers

*Updated all drivers

*I tried Fixing the problem in registry as suggested here http://superuser.com/questions/525602/all-created-vpns-result-in-error-720

*I ran this miniport repair tool https://www.vpnhosting.cz/index.php/clanky/wan-miniport-repair-tool-solve-vpn-and-dial-up-error-code-720-and-similar-ppperrors.html

*Ran windows updates

It still wont work....

And every time i try to connect to vpn i lose my internet connection and ip address and have to reboot my pc in order to have internet access again.

You can try reinstalling or resetting TCP/IP. You could try the following;

Reset TCP/IP to Original Configuration- Using the NetShell utility, type in this command: netsh int ip reset [file_name.txt], [file_name.txt] is the name of the file where the actions taken by NetShell are record, for example netsh hint ip reset fixtcpip.txt.

Remove and re-install NIC – Open Controller and select System. Click Hardware tab and select devices. Double-click on Network Adapter and right-click on  the NIC, select Uninstall. Restart the computer and the Windows should auto detect the NIC and re-install it.

Upgrade the NIC driver – You may download the latest NIC driver and upgrade the driver.
