I have been developing a VB website using VS2012 (Update 4). Everything was working fine but then I did some Windows Updates (not related to VS) and now I can't log into the ASPNETDB from the application run within IISExpress. The database is on a different server, but I can access the database from within VS2012 and SSMS on my development machine, but IISExpress used by the development environment seems to have trouble logging me in. Any strategies to address this problem out there?

Problem solved. The problem was that a local aspnetdb database was found in the App_Data folder when the web.config pointed to a database on the server (another machine). When I deleted the local aspnetdb, things worked fine.
