HI

We eventually are getting more complex and robust projects to develop software for web, I would like to know what elements and procedures will take us to a successful result (people, software, procedures, diagrams, etc.).

We are new on this topic, so basic and primary steps plus a big picture of the solution will be very helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Wow, that's a big one!

Before you start looking for any tools and templates my recommendation is to define and document you project management process: who and how to start new projects, minimum scope and project definition, effort estimation methods, resource and cost planning etc. This won't work from an EE answer, better look for a consulting company that helps you get started with the PM basics or maybe one your team members has some experience and background on this. Only after you defined the WAY you will be working, start looking for tools. In general the availability and access to them is fast and cheap e.g. use Microsoft Project Online. But again, the tool won't solve problems without a proper process.
