Scatter XY Diagram problems getting it to show as required

Hi,

I am having problems getting my data to display as I need it,

if for example I have 8 users which should be shown on the horizontal line, and the vertical is time anything from say 0 to 20 seconds.  Each user has upto 125 samples of times, the times should then be shown in a tower above each of the users.

However, when I select my data as below, the scatter diagrem spreads the times accross all of the users for each sample.

User
1 2.97 3.2 4.1 >>> etc upto 125 samples
2 <<< same as above for each user upto 125 samples
3
4
5
6
7
8

Basically I need it so that when I select the data from above and then choose scatter graph, it shows users 1 - 8 accross bottom, then time on the vertical line, then towers of the individuals 125 samples above there user number.

Cheers

Can you post an image of your chart?
With the chart highlighted you will see a switch row/columns button that will reverse the axis

I uploaded a sample of charts using scattered and a line chart.

I like the modified line chart because the User ID's will be shown on the X Axis (once you switch rows/columns) whereas the scatter chart just shows the sequence number.

But, with the modified line chart, if you want it to look like a scatter chart you'll have to choose modify each line to set the line to none and keep the marker.  Doesn't take long at all and you only have to do this once.
