Can the quality of a built in Webcam on a Toshiba Satellite A200 be improved

I was trying Skype and looking at my picture the quality is grainy.  Can this be improved?  Laptop is Win 8.1 Pro.  The physical laptop is a few years old.

The Quality of the camera can't be improved, but you might be able to improve the quality of the picture you get by improving the lighting in your room. A grainy picture usually means that it is just too dark.
