QuickBooks 2014 - Bank Imports Not Working Right

I'm downloading an *.QBO file from my bank and it's not importing everything. See attached file for a screenshot of the transaction screen in QB 2014 Pro.

I initially thought to myself, "maybe the 'ATM/POS WITHDRAWAL #4781' section is taking up too much room so I opened the file in Excel, did a "Replace All", replacing "ATM/POS WITHDRAWAL #4781" with "". (See original below)

<STMTTRN>
    <TRNTYPE>POS
    <DTPOSTED>20140125000000[-5:EST]
    <TRNAMT>-8.49
    <FITID>20140125000000[-5:EST]*-8.49*13**ATM/POS WITHDRAWAL #4781 01/24 BARNES  NOBLE # AKRON OH
    <NAME>ATM/POS WITHDRAWAL #4781 01/24 B
</STMTTRN>

Open in new window

When I imported the QBO file with my new changes it didn't have the "ATM/POS..." part, but it still only had "01/24 B", removing the remainder of "Barnes Noble # Akron OH".

What's wrong with my QuickBooks?

<FITID> algorithm
<FITID> is an OFX tag that is present in every downloaded transaction (each individual entry in the user's statement). This value is assigned by the FI and must be: a) unique within the user's account and b) never changed. Intuit client software (Quicken, QuickBooks) uses this value to determine whether or not a transaction has been previously downloaded. If the value assigned to an individual transaction changes, then the user may have a duplicate entry appear in their client software since the client will not filter out the transaction (thinking it is new). If the value is not unique, then the user may have missing transactions since the client will filter out the transaction (thinking it was previously downloaded).

Thanks - I'm glad I know more about FITID's.  :-)  This doesn't explain the problem though - every transaction appears in QB, it's must missing the helpful information.  You know, where I spent the money!
