Does anyone know of a good way to have some type of DFS monitoring to send emails out or something like this so we know if the DFS replication stops for any reason??

I'd create a scheduled task that writes a time stamp file to the replicated folder, i.e. every hour.
On each replication partner, check the time stamp of the file in the replicated folder. If its getting too old, send out an email.
