Hi

CR 2008

I have a dynamic cascading parameter which I have created in a Business View, the command is below

Select Type, Scheme
From table

I am using this in the report and it works fine, i.e. when I select type it displays all the schemes for that type

I now want to add ALL to the parameters, so when you select ALL in the Type parameter it shows ALL schemes?

Is this possible, Thanks

It is possible assuming the parameters are strings.

You need to add a command to the report as a data source.  The command will be

SELECT "ALL" as Param1 FROM YourTable
UNION ALL
SELECT YourParameterColumn FROM YourTable

Don't link the command to the existing data.
Change the parameter to use the command as the source of the dynamic values.

If you don't want to do that then there is the option to make the parameter OPTIONAL and change your selection filter to

(
If Not HasValue({?Param1} then
    TRUE
Else
    {YourField} = {?Param1}
)
AND
rest of the selection formula

You can also use

(
   (Not HasValue({?Param1})
   OR
    {YourField} = {?Param1}
)
AND
rest of the selection formula
