free rdp client windows 7
Hi, we have the windows Remote desktop connection but seems to be having issues.
Wanted to know if there is a good free alternative to the RDP (a 3rd party free RDP client).

What kind of issues are you having?
I found that updating Windows to RDP 8.0 works really well.

If you need to just RDP into one computer use Teamviewer. Its hands down the best and easiest program to use.. Works with iOS too.

Well the main question is why bother using a third party RDP client on Windows when Microsoft has an official one that fully supports RDP 8.1 (what no third party does)?
Any particular reason? Mind sharing the reason?

Don't know about him,but my use of the Grdp is you don't have to play with ports.
Lot's of customers don't have access to their firewall.
I have a customer that needed to have port opened (3389) and was flat out refused because of security concerns.

Hi, Thanks for all the replies. Here's teh message I get when trying to rdp using the windows rdp software:
Once i put in the username and password to the server, and click connect I get:
"An authentication error has occurred
The requested security package does not exist.
Remote computer: xxxx.domain.com"
I get the same error message even if i try logging onto any server---so its not a server issue, and other laptops are ok, just not this one.
any suggestions?

Try copying MSTSC.EXE and the DLL from another PC?
