Google Apps Sync in proxy environnement

Hi there,

We are using GAPS for Gmail Entreprise to synchronise Outlook client with the Gmail box. It's been working for a while now.

Last week, we set up a Squid proxy and deployed, via GPO on all browser to use the squid proxy.

We used the official link https://support.google.com/a/answer/2622308?hl=fr to bypass few URL asked by google.

It was working for a week ... and then the GA plugin would not work any more. I could synchronize calendar, contact ... but not the email and only the email would not synchronize. The plugin simply says "Email Synchronization is temporary down". The problem is global (not localized on one station).

Looking inside the GAPS logs I have :

2014-01-28T10:37:51.200+01:00 195c W:Network gsync32!LogPotentialProxyNetworkFailure @ 287 (emilie@xxx.com)> WinHttpGetProxyForUrl for config URL failed with 0x80072ee6. 0/(null). IsNetworkActive is 1, flags 1, IsNetworkActive GetLastError 0x80004005
2014-01-28T10:37:51.200+01:00 195c W:Network gsync32!LogPotentialProxyNetworkFailure @ 287 (emilie@xxx.com)> WinHttpSetOption failed with 0x80070057. 3/ftp=172.16.0.14:3128;http=172.16.0.14:3128;https=172.16.0.14:3128. IsNetworkActive is 1, flags 1, IsNetworkActive GetLastError 0x80004005
2014-01-28T10:37:51.200+01:00  9ec E:Email gsync32!GmailSyncImpl::DoMessageHashSync @ 5541 (emilie@xxx.com)> Failed with 0x80072ee0, last successful line = 5539.
2014-01-28T10:37:51.200+01:00  9ec W:Email gsync32!GmailSyncImpl::ScheduleBackoffSync @ 1201 (emilie@xxx.com)> Schedule backoff sync with inital delay = 109 seconds and interval = 120 seconds

All the URL asked by google can be reached without latency.
The proxy is working fine and all others web pages can be reached.
The access to the proxy is not filtered via login / pass. The proxy filter on the source IP only, so no logging / pass is asked to the user.

Were any changes made to the proxy with respect to protocols?  Google Apps Sync for MS Outlook uses the MAPI protocol.
