Is there a way to test if printer drivers are RDS compliant?

I have a system that reboots and although the drivers from the manufacturers state they are compliant I would like to test them.  I also have some drivers that I would like to load but am not sure if they will effect the system negatively.

Did you download the newest drivers?
Did the system reboot before installing these drivers?
What does event viewer say causing this reboots?

I did download the newest drivers, the OS was corrupt and was rebooting so I wiped the os and reinstalled.  After serveral days it started rebooting randomly.  There is nothing in the event viewer that shows any correlation to rebooting, that I can see...

So back to the original question, is there a way to "verify" a driver?
