Need windows script to press a button in a Java app once per minute

Can I write a windows script that would press a button in a java app once per minute?  I know it can be done for normal windows apps because I know I can have win32 enumerate windows and I can use Spy to get the handle to the button.

In this case it is a java app running but I guess a window is a window so if that can be enumerated I would need to know how to make a script press the button.

Try out the tool KeyText (http://www.mjmsoft.com/).  You can schedule this tool to click any location relative to the screen or a given window on a timer.  It is likely to be a LOT easier...
