redirect http to https on IIS7 with sharepoint 2010
Dear Experts,
I have a SharePoint 2010 farm which approx. 120 users access on a daily basis. Quite a few users insist on typing the URL as http://host.domain.com when they should be using the https prefix.
Can I change IIS to automatically redirect from the http address to the https one?
Thanks

URL Rewrite module works well. Another option is to create a redirect site in IIS. This means you create a site and bind it to your SharePoint URL on port 80 (make sure you don't have a binding to port 80 on your SharePoint IIS site). After you create go into the Features view of the site in IIS and double click the HTTP Redirection icon to set it to redirect to the HTTPS URL. I doubt you want to do the "exact URL" and instead have it be relative.
