I am setting up direct access using the windows 2012 r2 wizard. I am at the step where I need to specify the network location server (NLS). I setup an empty website on another server in the org, enable ssl using the internal CA certificate. I create a dummy website that simply says website found. If I navigate to the site I get the certificate invalid error but if I click continue, I get  the webpage. However if I put the website https:nls.domain.com in the nls wizard it says the website specified is not accessible. Is this because of the certificate error? or another issue. If it is the certificate error, I followed the steps to install the certificate but the same certificate error keeps coming back. Thanks

Your email was not what I needed to do but it got me on the right track, I had to request and enter a certificate for the "fake" website I create nls.domain.com. Once I could get to the site with any certificate error, the nls was found. Thanks
