I have 3 HP 2200 DTN.   I am trying to set up new jetdirect cards in them, but I am away from the network they will be on.   How do I set the static IP, subnet and default gateway so when I attach them to the actual network they will work?

i am assuming you don't have a dhcp server available,  If you do you can plug the card in, get the dhcp address from your server then and access the web site then configure the card, to the ip's you want. once configured if you plug a network cable directly in to the device and put your pc on the same subnet you can then test,  (ie.  set the card to 192.168.1.1 with a subnet of 255.255.255.0 then connect your laptop up with IP. 192.168.1.3 and a subnet of 255.255.255.0.  you will then be ale to browse the webpage on 192.168.1.1)

if no dhcp server is available. Connecting a network cable to the card then in a command prompt type route add 192.0.0.192 <Your computer Ip Address>

you should then be able to browse the configuration website on 192.0.0.192

the below is the HP reference site.

i would normally use a network with dhcp for ease.
