"The program can't start because MSVCR80.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."

Will something like this help? Or perhaps there are better ideas? Problem seems to have started when installing update to iTunes 11. Also, I use Uniblue Registry Booster which did not help - no surprise here.

"apsdaemon.exe problems occur when important operating system files become misconfigured, deleted or damaged."

This is an iTunes install gone wrong.

Do a complete uninstall of iTunes following the steps below (from several Apple forums).

Go to Control Panel, Programs and Features and uninstall in order:

iTunes
QuickTime
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support

Now restart the computer, download the newest version of iTunes and install it.

That solved the MSVCR80.dll problem on a my Windows 7 computers.

"MSVCR80.dll is missing from your computer" - Update

iTunes - Search of C: - only instances of iTunes.png - not uninstalled
QuickTime - uninstalled OK
Apple Software Update - uninstalled OK

Apple Mobile Device Support - would not uninstall - progress bar actually reversed to 0 in 10 seconds - not uninstalled - even after reboot & 3 attempts

Bonjour- uninstalled OK
Apple Application Support- uninstalled OK

OK to 'restart the computer, download the newest version of iTunes and install' ?

Make sure iTunes is uninstalled.

Apple Mobile Device Support - would not uninstall  <-- I had that on one computer.

OK to 'restart the computer, download the newest version of iTunes and install' ?

Yes, it should be. When I restarted the computer above, Apple Mobile Device Support was gone after the restart.  Newest version of iTunes (V11.1.4.62) installed and worked.

Ran Programs and Features - Change to delete Apple Mobile Device Support - returned program nonexistent, but still listed in Programs and Features.

Downloaded/installed iTunes 11.1.4.62 - all OK now.

Thanks for your help!
