We have a certain image (using KACE, Windows 7 x64) on a certain PC model (Dell Vostro 470) in which does not allow ShoreTel v13.3 IM functions.
We have since created a new image for the Vostro (from a reinstall DVD, not from Dell factory install of Win7) which has since worked for newly deployed images. So it is something within this configuration. Doing a mass switchover/complete reconfiguration for entire user base with this model is not ideal.
ShoreTel IM error: Instant Messaging is unavailable.
I've tried restarting the Communicator, re-installing Communicator, making sure Communicator matches version, flushing/registering dns, opening up port TCP 5222 (XMPP) as stated in documentation used for IM, turning off all firewalls, removed MS updates KB2621440 and KB2667402, also opened port 5060 and 5061 (TCP). No luck.
Looking for any insight or theories on what could potentially be blocking this program from operating correctly.
