how to stop record from being re-inserted from details view, after page gets refreshed

I have a question. After I insert the new record, and if I refresh the page (browser refresh button) then the record gets inserted again.

How can I stop this from happening? can some examples be shown?

Simple solution is to redirect to the same page after the insert so there is no posted data.
If you want a slightly more complicated way
