Out of the box software to store a Composers information of past works
I work for an Opera company that has a composer that has done a lot of work for the past 40 years and he would like to create a Database of all of his works. IE. what performance has he done, the location that the performance was done, the original composer(like Mozart), Artist in the performances and ect...
Does anyone know of any out of the box software that holds this type of information? My instinct is to go with Access. but I want to be able to give him another option if there is something out there.
Thanks

You and I could do a Google search and likely find something that purports to do this, but there's nothing I can vouch for (a product that I've actually used). Besides, I think your instincts are right – an Access database should work very nicely for this requirement. In fact, it's simple enough (although somewhat unique) that an Excel spreadsheet may suffice. But if you have Access skills, my suggestion is to go that route. Just one person's opinion, of course. I didn't find much, either. :) This should be a relatively small effort, as custom projects go, and you'll wind up with exactly what's needed. But you should leave the question open for a while. Perhaps someone out there in the EE community knows a perfect off-the-shelf product that fits the need. Regards, Joe
You're welcome. Always happy to (try to) help. Good luck on the project! Regards, Joe

Joe Validated what I was thinking. It is always nice to get a second opinion. Thanks Joe
