MS Word 2008 Document Want to insert Underlined Fields & Expand Text
I have a downloaded word doc that I need to insert some fields that are underlined into it. I am not real familiar with Word and all I wanted to do is fill out this existing form.
I find when I fill out the fields with underlines in them they have the current style of selected text says it is expanded by .35.
I need to know how to insert a place on the document that will be underlined even when I type in text and have it expanded .35 too.
I have attached the form. In the form on the second line it has a blank for social security number. Please tell me how to create an undelined field with the style I need.
Thanks,
Randal

I highlight the tab symbol after pressing the paragraph key but then how do I replace it with spaces that are underlined?
You could copy the ones in the rest of the document

I tried that and when I try to type on the line it moves and the text I put in isn't underlined.

First enter click on the paragraph sign on the standard toolbar to better understand what you have to d, if not yet done
then replace the Tab sign where your SSN will be und replace it with spaces with underline like in the rest of the document
