I am looking for free SMTP Relay software which can be used to relay mails from my application server.

Also the SMTP relay should have the feature to block SPAM mails & also has an facility for inbox to check the incoming mails which are bounced back due to NDR...

Let me know which is the best free SMTP relay software,.

Maybe I did not understand your question properly, but a SMTP relay only relays(sends) emails.
You can couple it with an authentication module so it only sends from authenticated users.

Seems to me that you want a full email server software, that can do IMAP/POP along with SMTP.

If so, you have 2 major options:
1. sign up for a hosting package and the email server will usually be a part of the deal (meaning you can create email addresses and use them to send/receive email).
2. run your own server, using Exchange/Postfix/Exim etc

I haven't seen anyone running postfix on Windows.

You can try hMailServer on Windows, if you don't want to use Exchange.
It's free and somewhat easy to configure.

Depends on what you're comfortable with.
Linux mail servers can be more stable, but are difficult to configure.

hMail is kind of "point and click" but I do not know how it scales beyond 50 clients.
