Generic Windows 2012 graphics driver for ATI ES1000 (Dell Poweredge 840)
Hi
I have installed Windows Multipoint 2012 on an old Dell PowerEdge 840 server we had kicking around just to run some tests (it will never go into production). This has an ATI ES1000 onboard graphics chip (fairly basic chip).
However Windows 2012 (which MWP is based on) installs the default Windows basic graphics adapter driver (WDM).
Multipoint sees this as an error and will go no further (fails to start Station mode).
I used the ATI Server2008 driver from 2009 and it works fine until I reboot and Windows replaces the driver with the basic WDM driver. After the last Windows update round the old ATI driver now fails to install. So I cannot run Multipoint at all now.
So anyone know of a generic driver not made by Microsoft for this graphics chip?
Any driver that will work will do as long as it's not Microsoft as MWP checks specifically for this driver.

I binned the server, bought a new recent PC with a Radeon 4450 card and it all works as it should.
