Both Mozy Pro, Backup exec, andWindows Server backup fail when trying to backup system state.  Windows backup failed with error code:

2155347997. The operation ended before completion.

MozyPro gives a snapShotError0

Backup exec fails with:

Backup- SERVER - AOFO: Initialization failure on: "System?State". Advanced Open File Option used: Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS).

V-79-10000-11226 - VSS Snapshot error. The Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) snapshot provider selected returned: "Unexpected provider error". Ensure that all provider services are enabled and can be started. Check the Windows Event Viewer for details.

Are these different servers or did you actually install multiple backup products on the same server?? At first glance, it looks like a backup product clobbered your VSS writers, which is common when uninstalling and installing multiple backup utilities. And repairing them sadly means doing a repair install of the OS.

Its one server but the client wants local backup (backup exec) and cloud (Mozy).  I just tried with Win Server Backup to see if I could get just the system image which failed.

Once a VSS writer is corrupt, ANY backup program that relies on VSS will fail, including the built in backup program. Like I said, unless you can restore from a backup before the corruption, a repair install will be required. And all the messiness that goes with it.
