WordPress User Accounts and Sub Accounts
I have a water polo site for kids. I need a way for a user to manage multiple accounts with a single email or username.
Example: A mother has 3 kids in the program. She wants a single login/email to manage all kids as users.
Of course WordPress requires a unique email per account. I've seen some plugins that circumvent the unique email issue. They don't seem to work.
Any help would be appreciated.

I don't think this is possible with WordPress without a lot of custom code. The closest thing I can think off is to run it in Network mode and have each parent get their own subsite of which they are an administrator. But that's way overkill...

Any other options besides Drupal? The core update procedure was enough to make me look away.

There are two viable answers above.
1) you need a ton of customization to WordPress to attempt this. The code required is beyond the scope of what a Q and A forum is expected to provide and you should hire a developer.
2) WordPress is probably not the best tool for this job as no plugins or other easy solutions exist to do what you want. Hence you should look at a different CMS that does have these abilities and that's what prompted me to recommend Drupal.
I'm sorry if you don't like those answers, but they are answers. Deletion is not appropriate here.
