Exchange 2007 not replying to fake mails

Hey experts

We are having the problem that we have to answer every incoming mail with a polite answer as this is the Company policy being a public firm. But now we are having the problem  that we are being blacklisted from time to time, simply because we answer every mail, how do we set up exchange to avoid replying to nonexsistent foreign users(fake mails - Spam) if it's possible at all to avoid this traffic

Regards

Johnny

You can use Antispam solutions for blocking emails.

But I think the problem of your IP address being blacklisted is because there are virus outgoing traffic from Public IP address and may be exchange is also using same public address. The first thing you have to do is scan your network for virus and then remove IP from blacklisting.

Secondly you can use a different Public IP address for only exchange so even if your users systems are sending virus on one Public IP then it will not effect on exchange server as it will be using second Public IP address.

For stopping Spam email, you have to use Anti-spam solution for exchange server and it will be fine.

Even you can use a built-in Antispam solution for Exchange 2007 server. Here is the step by step for configuration:
