I have been having trouble getting this error to go away. When you first launch Software Center a window pops up stating "There is a problem showing the current status", with additional information at the bottom stating "Loading Software Center returned error code 0x80041001".

The CM Client has been reinstalled with no positive effect.

Running 2008R2 w/ SCCM 2012 SP1 CU2.

Yes, it was XP. That service was disabled. After enabling/rebooting, the error went away. Thank you!
