How do I get rid of FunMoods?

Title really says it all.  I have tried to disable the extensions in Google Chrome (my preferred browser) and to no end will FunMoods cease to stop hijacking my browser settings after I reconfigure them.  What it keeps doing after I remove it is re-installs itself as an extension, removes my home page, and disables my bookmarks toolbar.  Usually I am pretty capable of removing this kind of garbage myself, but this time I need some Expert input.

Help!

Misc. info.

Windows 7 OS
Avast Antivirus

1. Delete all history - check all boxes (don't have to do passwords or auto-fill)

2. Then do this
https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/113907?hl=en

3. If no good, then do this
http://www.howtogeek.com/140464/how-to-manually-uninstall-a-globally-installed-chrome-extension/

4. If no good, then do this
Delete Chrome and reinstall

pterodactylptimeptravel's suggestions appear to have worked.  These manufacturers are incredibly sneaky with where they install this garbage.  I am not accepting a solution yet to see if this stuff reborns itself after I have removed the extensions (Wajam/FunMoods) following the aforementioned directions.  Will be back soon.

Thanks in advance!

Thomas Zucker-Scharff's suggestion appears to have worked:
http://malwaretips.com/blogs/funmoods-virus/

While the other suggestions may work they are only temporary resolutions because FunMoods kept returning.
