footer content in report design

i am trying to edit the footer content in the report design.. the footer content is seen in report that is printed. but when i design mode, i am not able to see anything in the footer.. where could this be? can you guide?

Try to hover the mouse at the edge of the footer. Once you see a double up-down arrow, drag it downward.
