IMF Issues.

I'm using Exchange 2003 SP . Can I uncheck the 'Apply Intelligent Messaging Filter' check box, located on my 'Default SMTP Virtual Server'.

location...Default SMTP Virtual Server / properties / General (Tab) / Advanced / Edit / 'Apply Intelligent Messaging Filter (presently this is checked).

If i uncheck this will it stop the IMF for Exchange (This is what I want). Also, will it affect my 'Exchange Antivirus', presently using Trendmicro.

Yes you can, it won't hurt anything. You'll have no message or spam filtering. I'm curious  why do you need to disable it?

I don't know what version of Trend Micro you're using, but I can say with pretty high confidence that it should not interfere with the ability of the anti-virus to do its job.  I've never known an AV to use IMF.
