VMWARE vcenter 5.5 cannot vmotion a guest after vmotion is setup

I have set up a vmotion VMkernal but do not have the option to live migrate vmotion as seen here ?

help?!

thanks!!!!!!no option to live migrate a guest from one ESXI to another while changing the datastore also

Are you licensed for vMotion?

Is vMotion enabled on the vSwitches on both ESXi servers?

I am trying to move the host and the datastore at the same time , both hosts esx7 and esx8 have access to the both NFS volumes , I do have the option in the webclient to do this , however this is the error when I try vmotion fails when attempting to change the datastore and NFS volume at the same time

This issue occurs if jumbo frames (MTU : 9000) is enabled for the vMotion vmkernel port group, but is not enabled on the physical switch.

yeah i can ping


must be the jumbo frames I am changing the VMK vMotion port group to MTU=1500

What was the MTU set to, and does your physical switches support Jumbo Frames, because its recommended.

1. use webclient
2. test ping from one ESXi host to VMK on another ESXI
3. change the port group MTU on the VMKernal interface to 1500
