Citrix Xenapp shortcut on user desktop

I'm currently running Citrix XenApp 6.5 in my environment. I have a secure WI setup that non-internal users use to access published applications and this works fine. However, I have internal users that don't want to log into the WI to access their published application. The app I'm publishing is IE8. Ideally, I would like to have a shortcut icon on these users' desktop so that they don't need to log into a WI. Does anyone know of a way to make this happen or another work around so my internal users don't need to use the WI?

You can create XenApp Services Sites where users can access apps using the Citrix online plug-in. follow this step http://citrixworld.com/2013/04/21/creating-a-xenapp-services-site-xenapp-6-5/
once done publish apps to local users and install the client in their desktop to access apps locally without using web interface.

Thanks. I was able to get the app to show on the desktop by installing the full client from the Citrix website instead of the web client I had been using for users logging into the web interface.
