i have a website using asp.net and ajax toolkit for rental car website.
now i have a new task basically we need to block particular date range on the front end website calendar (pop up using ajax).

so on the admin side, i have control to take block period like 01/01/2014 to 01/05/2014 and save into a database table called blockDatePeriod. so one car may have several rows for the date block.

My question is if I use ajax pop up calendar, how can i read the database blockdateperiod table and send the dates to the ajax pop up calender so those block date will be grayed out?

Thanks

Check this article to see how to send the dates to the client side (browser) : http://www.dotnetcurry.com/showarticle.aspx?ID=109

So you just need to read the database to get the dates.
You may create a string array of theses dates if your want.

thank you for your information. I will take a try and see I can make it working. I am very new to asp.net toolkit and never work with the calendar before.

Actually, the hardest thing for me is the block dates are different. some may be just one day
like 01/01/2014 to 01/01/2014 and other may be 01/12/2014 to 01/30/2014.

Hope you know what i mean. :-D and thank you for your time and effort to communicate with me in the weekend.
