Corel Office 6x and Windows 8

I have installed, uninstalled, and reinstalled Corel Office 6x.  Evrery time I try to open a component of this it errors PROGRAM..(X86)\WORDPERFECTOFFICEX6\PROGRAMS\WPWIN\6X.EXE.  I dont know what is causing this but clean installs dont seem to correct it.   Always says it has to terminate.  Any ideas

This Corel support page say Corel Office 6 should work in Windows 8.

Down at the bottom it says to install the latest service pack for Office 6.

Did you apply all the updates?  
Did you run the Corel install using Run as Administrator?
