This Corel support page say Corel Office 6 should work in Windows 8.

http://www.corel.com/corel/pages/index.jsp?pgid=13400255&storeKey=ca&languageCode=en

Down at the bottom it says to install the latest service pack for Office 6.

Did you apply all the updates?
Did you run the Corel install using Run as Administrator?

Please let us know.
