we have an office 365 account linked to intune account with the online connector. we now want to move the management authority to onpremise sccm but we cannot due to it already being set permanently to intune. I understand we can contact microsoft to get this change made but does anyone know if its safe in the interim for us to remove the exchange connector from intune without the mobile phones getting their exchange/office 365 account removed.
Also what will the impact be on pc's which are presently set to use intune

No, you cannot change it without totally blowing up Intune.

Removing the connector will definitely cause disruption for end users.

You can keep the authority with Intune but manage the devices through SCCM:

That would probably be your safest bet for now.
